Nan Suwan was a northern Thai Church elder and war slave from Chiang Mai. He and his family moved to Chiang Saen where he was instrumental in expanding the church in northern Thailand as well as into the neighboring countries of Laos, Burma and Yunnan, China.

In August and September 1898, Dr. Denman does evangelism and discipleship work among the Lahu (Musu) people in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

18 July 1835, Dr. Daniel Beech Bradley and his wife Emelie Royce Bradley arrive in Siam.

On July 8, 1878, Edna S. Cole was assigned to serve in Siam by the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions. She would serve in Siam until retiring as a missionary in 1923.
